And now people are about to start boxing. This is bad news.

Holy cow

The name of the game here in Greensboro tonight is a down-home Southern style BBQ courtesy of the boys in The Bronzed Chorus. Tour rules. Look to see those dudes up our way in September. Hunter's going to be selling bottles of his own secret family recipe barbecue sauce when they come.

200% Sweater video

A couple weeks before we left for tour we got the chance to play shows with Pianos Become the Teeth while they were in Michigan. Our boy Chad from Pianos shot some video of us doing one of our new songs in Mt. Pleasant. Check it out. Thanks to him and much love to all those guys.

Savannah to North Carolina

We played Savannah, Georgia last night and it was wicked. Seriously, that town is really cool and I can't wait to go back. Everyone at the Pony Pen is top notch. We had a stupid fun time. On top of getting to see our boy, Midwestern ex-pat Cameron "Baby" Shifflet, in Circle Takes the Square's home turf I managed to pick up a never-played copy of As the Roots Undo on vinyl for only five measly bucks. Score.

Got into Greensboro earlier to hang with the dudes in the Bronzed Chorus for our day off. We've been feasting on grilled food, relaxing, and listening to those two make ridiculously intricate music. Rad times.

Mid-tour update

We're two weeks in and here's a quick update about what's been going on: Tour started off with a bang. The kickoff show at the Strutt was a blowout and a perfect way to begin a solid trip. Afterward we visited friends in Bloomington and St. Louis, had a great time, and then set off for uncharted territory. Our ventures into the West and Southwest proved defeating with long drives and some less than encouraging incidents in new places. Not to say it was all negative, and we thank everyone who we made friends with and helped us out along the way, but tensions ran high and the future outlook turned occasionally bleak. After a recharge in the Fort Worth/Dallas area of Texas with family members we so infrequently get to see, things began to look up. As of Austin we have had nothing but solid, revitalizing shows - a couple to remind a person why you took an entire month off of work at your stupid, sandwich-making job to begin with.

We're in Florida kicking it with our boys in Antarctic. They are showing us nothing but a great time. We swam in the ocean today, sneaked into something like our fourth or fifth pool of tour, and are now being treated to a St. Augustine grill fiesta, complete with plentiful beers and a dope porch to enjoy.

That's what I can think of for now! More to come as soon as motivationally possible.
